Tirupati, 27 Aug. 20: The Executive Committee meeting of
Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) chaired by TTD Trust Board Chief Sri YV Subba Reddy was held in Sri Padmavathi Rest House at Tirupati on Thursday.
The meeting has discussed on the mechanism to take up the construction of 500 more temples in SC, ST, BC and fishermen colonies of both the Telugu States on a faster pace.
The committee decided that by signing an MoU between Samarasata Seva Foundation (SSF) and SRIVANI Trust, the works shall be taken up. A grant of Rs.5lakhs will be spend to renovate dilapidated temples and Rs.10lakhs to construct new ones.
Already 500 temples were constructed in both Telugu states by SSF with the joint collaboration of TTD and AP Endowments Department during the first phase.
The committee has also discussed on future plans for enhancing Hindu Dharma Prachara activities.
TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, Committee members Sri Govinda Hari, Sri DP Ananta (through Video Conference) Sri Siva Kumar, Sri BV Subba Rao, Sri Penchalaiah, JEO Sri P Basanth Kumar, HDPP Secretary Sri Rajagopalan and others were also present.
