Tirumala, 24 Oct. 20: Heralding the finale on the early morning of Saturday the Day 9 of the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams, Sri Malayappa Swamy blessed devotees on Pallaki vahanam.
Thereafter the most revered phase of Srivari Brahmotsavam, the chakra snanam was performed. The Archakas dipped the Sri Sudarshan chakrathalwar for a holy bath in the newly built Pushkarini near Ayina Mahal inside Srivari temple.
As part of the state and central government Covid-19 guidelines the concluding events of Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam were also observed in ekantham.
PALLAKI VAHANA SEVA
In the early hours, Pallaki vahana Seva was observed at the Kalyanotsava Mandapam with the majestically decorated Utsava idols of Sri Malayappa and his consorts.
Speaking on the occasion TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam concluded with the chakra snanam for the utsava idols of Sri Malayappa and his consorts besides the Sri Sudarshan Chakrathalwar.
He said earlier as per Agama traditions the Snapana thirumanjanam was performed to the utsava idols.
The TTD EO said the Bangaru Tiruchi utsava will be held at night and lauded the Tirumala Pontiffs Jeeyangar swamys, temple priests, TTD officials and other staff who made the festival a grand success.
SNAPANA TIRUMANJANAM
As the last but one event of the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam, grand Snapana thirumanjanam was was conducted at the Ayina mahal mandapam. The Snapanam is part of Agama traditions as a revered practice ahead of Chakra Snanam.
The Snapana Tirumanjanam to Sri Malayppa Swamy, Sridevi, Bhudevi and Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar was performed in a grand manner amidst chanting of Veda Mantras. Panchabhisheka Snanam with milk, curd, honey, turmeric and sandal paste was rendered to deities.
The TTD Veda parayanadars chanted Dasharathi Shanti Mantra, Purusho Suktam, Sri Suktam, Bhu Suktam, Nila Suktam, and Vishnu Suktam on the occasion in this garlands made of colourful ritual high quality flowers of each season were showered on the utsav idols.
CHAKRASNANAM
The holy tradition, heralding the conclusion. Of the nine day long performed in a religious mode inside the Srivari temple on Saturday morning.
In view of the Covid 19 restrictions, the sacred event tagged was performed in a newly constructed Pushkarini (temple tank) inside the temple facing Ayina Mahal where the Snapana Tirumanjanam to the deities was also conducted.
According to Legends, the Sudarshana Chakra is a spinning, disk-like weapon of Lord Maha Vishnu with 108 serrated edges. The Chakra is often depicted as an Ayudhapurusha (Anthropomorphic form).
The Sudarshana Chakkrattalwar was brought ceremoniously to the temple tank and immersed in the holy waters in the sacred muhurtam.

BANGARU TIRUCHI UTSAVAM
In the night Bangaru Tiruchi Utsavam is performed in which the utsava idols of Lord Malayappa and his consorts were taken out in a procession inside the Srivari temple and asthanam conducted at the Ranganayakula mandapam
PARVETA UTSAVAM ON OCTOBER 25
TTD is organising the annual Parveta utsavam in the Kalyanotsava Mandapam of Srivari temple on Sunday, October 25.
The utsava idols of Sri Malayappa and his consorts Sridevi and Sri Bhudevi will be seated in Asthanam at the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
The Utsava is also conducted in Ekantham inside Srivari temple in View of COVID-19 guidelines.
