Tirumala, 25 October 2020: Vijaya Dasami Parveta Utsavam was observed in Ekantham in view of Covid 19 restrictions at the Kalyanotsava Mandapam in Srivari temple on Sunday evening.
As part of festivities Utsava idol of Sri Malayappa swami was seated in the palanquin and decked as Panchayudha Murthy holding five weapons- Shanka, Gadha, Chakra, Khadga and Bow participated in the Parveta Utsava.
For the first time Seshachala forests with wild beasts were recreated for this mock hunt festival which takes place on the immediate day after the completion of Navarathri Brahmotsavams.
Later the archakas enacted hunt scene by throwing weapon on the wild beasts.
Speaking to media persons later the TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said for betterment of global humanity and relief from pandemic Covid, the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams were conducted in Ekantham inside the temple. Similar manner, Paruveta Utsavam was also conducted inside the temple premises.
Additional EO Sri A V Dharma Reddy, District collector Sri Bharat Narayan Gupta, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Chief Engineer Sri Ramesh Reddy, Peshkar Sri Jaganmohanacharyalu and others participated.
