KTR Inaugurated Construction and Demolition Recycling Plant at Jeedimetla

Government to issue a comprehensive policy for management of all kind of waste materials in the state said Hon’ble Minister for MA&UD Sri. K.Taraka Ramarao, during inauguration of Construction and Demolition Recycling Plant at Jeedimetla here today.

Speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Minister Sri.K.Taraka Ramarao,  said they are five types waster material like, solid waste, liquid waste, Bio waste, construction and demolition waste, fecal wastes. Further the minister said  nearly 2000 tons of C&D waste is generated daily in the city. The plant has the capacity of 500 tons of recycling of various waste material daily with latest technology and another plant with capacity of 500 tons is coming up at fathullaguda in couple of months.  GHMC is making arrangement to lift the debris from the city  with nominal fee and the citizen can call toll free no. 1800-1200-72659 to avail the services. Further said this plant is highest capacity in South India and 5^th in India. Electric plant is coming up at jawahar nagar waste to energy with  6000 tons of Garbage and to be opened shortly.                                                                      

Hon’ble Minister Sri.Chamakura Malla Reddy, while speaking this is set up 17 acres and the generated debris in the city will be recycled  and taking steps lift the debris as when formed to keep the city neat and clean  and the electric plant at Jawahar Nagar will commence in next week. H.w.Mayor  Dr.Bonthu Rammohan said GHMC is taking steps to recycle the waste material from all parts of the city and plans to setup the plants in all four side of the city.

Corporators Sri.Jagan, M.Satyanarayana, Addl.Commissioner Rahul Raj, Zonal Commissioner Ms.Mamatha, and senior officials participated in the programme.
