Women Power Leading India Since Vedi Period - Visakha Sarada Peetham Pontiff





Tirumala, 7 Nov. 20: Describing Women as the Avatara of Goddess Shakti, the pontiff of Visakha Sarada Peetham HH Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Swamy said women have been leading the country as role model since vedic period.

 

Taking part in Keechaka Samharam-Nari Neerajanam programme at Nada Neerajanam platform on Friday evening at Tirumala, the pontiff said, Mahabharata always remains as an ideal epic as all the characters correlate to the contemporary world. "When Sri Pavana Kumara Sharma is rendering the Keechakavadha episode with great eloquence, I could witness the glow and shine in the eyes of the women devotees who have gathered here to participate in this unique programme", he added.

 

Meanwhile the program lasted for nearly two hours. When Keechaka Samharam done, the women lit the Diya as a sign victory over evil forces and the modern day Keechakas with the background score of Ayigiri Nandini...rendered melodiously by singers of TTD projects. Later Sri Maruti rendered shlokas of Virata Parvam.

 

Junior Seer Sri Swatmananda Saraswathi Swamy, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and others were also programme.
