Tirupati, 15 Dec. 20: To overcome the financial plight caused to the entire humanity across the globe due to COVID 19 Pandemic, Dhanaprada Sri Maha Vishnu Yagam was held in the Yagashala of SV Vedic Varsity on Tuesday, said TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.
The EO participated in the special Yagam along with Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy. After the Yagam, the EO said, due to Covid impact, even Tirumala temple remained closed for nearly three months and faced financial issues on par with state and the country in its capacity. "To overcome this financial crisis, existing at present in TTD, state and across the nation, we observed Dhanaprada Sri Maha Vishnu Yagam", he added.
SIGNIFICANCE:
Explaining its significance, SV Vedic Varsity VC Sri Sannidhanam Sudarshana Sharma said, the mention this Yagam exists in Narada Puranam where Snatana Maharshi narrates the importance of Dhanaprada Yagam to Sage Narada.
Another unique feature is, usually Bilva leaves are considered auspicious for the worship of Lord Shiva while Tulasi for Maha Vishnu. But, interestingly, it is only during this holy month of Dhanur Masam, Lord Sri Maha Vishnu is offered worship with both Bilva and Tulasi leaves along with lotuses. By doing this Yagam, Goddess Lakshmi who resides on the chest of Sri Maha Vishnu gets pleased and blesses the devotees with prosperity and lost riches will be regained.
YAGAM PERFORMED
The deities of Swamy varu along with Sridevi and Bhudevi were seated and offered Tulasi Bilwa Kamala dalarchanam amidst chanting of Vedic hymns. Then Yagam was performed. Sri Venkateswara Dasa Nama Stotram and Sri Venkateswara Mahishi Mahalakshmi Stotram were recited.
It may be mentioned here that TTD has been organising many spiritual programmes ever since Corona lockdown including Yoga Vasisthya Parayanam, Dhanwantari Maha Mantra Parayanam, Sundarakanda Parayanam, Bhagavat Gita, Virata Parvam and many more. From November 16 till December 14, Karthika Masa Deeksha and Homa Mahotsavams were also observed.
On the first day of Sukla Paksha Padhyami tithi in Dhanur Masam on Tuesday, Dhanaprada Sri Maha Vishnu Yagam was performed with utmost devotion by Rutwiks.
FACAO Sri Balaji, CAO Sri Seshasailendra, DEO Sri Ramanaprasad, CEO SVBC Sri Suresh Kumar, Vedic Scholar Sri Pavana Kumara Sharma, faculty and students of Vedic University and others participated.
