Skanda Shasti Puja held at SVV University

Tirupati, 20 Dec. 20: As part of holy Madgashira festivities Skanda Shasti Puja was held on Sunday at the Sri Venkateswara Vedic University.

Explaining the significance of the fete Acharya SS Sharma, Vice chancellor of the university said it was the birthday of Sri Subramaniam Swamy, commander of Forces of Devatas who vanquished the  demon Tarakasura.

 

He said worship of Shasti begets children for childless and healthy ,disease free infants.

Thereafter the Sri Subramaniam Swamy Shasti puja was performed.

 

SVBC CEO Sri SureshKumar, faculty of SVV university and students were present.
