Tiruppavai to Replace Suprabhatam from 17th Dec

Tirumala, 14 Dec. 20: The first and foremost predawn ritual of Suprabhatam will be replaced with Tiruppavai from December 17 onwards till January 14, 2021 in Tirumala temple.

 

As the auspicious Dhanur Masam is commencing at 6:04am on December 16, the awakening seva of Lord will be replaced with Andal Sri Godai Tiruppavai Pasura Parayanam in the temple during the entire month.

 

SIGNIFICANCE

 

Dhanurmasam has a unique place in Hindu spiritual calendar for devotional activities especially worshipping Lord Sri Maha Vishnu, especially during the early hours before Sunrise.

 

In Tirumala shrine, the 30 popular hymns penned by the only woman among the 12 Alwars, Andal Sri Goda Devi will be recited with each Pasuram on each day during the entire month.
