Tirupati, 13 Jan. 21: Sankranthi Bhogi festivities commenced at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple on Wednesday on the last day of Dhanur masa programs with Thiruppavai Parayanam and Sahasra Namarchana in the morning.
Later in the evening, Utsava idols of Goddess Andal Devi and Sri Krishna were paraded on Bhogi Ratham in Ekantham due to Covid-19 guidelines.
ADHYAYANOTSAVAM TILL FEBRUARY 5
The holy Adhyayanotsavam program also commenced at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple on Wednesday which will last till February 5.
As part of the program daily, Parayanam of Divya Prabandham will be performed in the evening at the Kalyana Mandapam for utsava idols of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and His consorts along with Bhashyakarulavaru, Senadhipati and other Alwars.
MAKARA SANKRANTHI FESTIVAL ON JANUARY 14
As part of Makara Sankranthi festivities, chakra snanam will be observed to Sri Chakrathalwar at the Kalyan Mandapam and later in the evening the utsava idols of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and His consorts will be paraded in the temple.
PARINAYOTSAVAM ON JANUARY 15
As part of Parinayotsavam on January 15 at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple, garlands and Melchat vastrams will be taken in a procession from Sri Pundarikavalli temple to Sri Andal temple.
Later in the evening Goda Parinayotsavam is performed in Ekantham at Sri Pundarikavalli temple
PARVETA UTSAVA ON JANUARY 16
As part of Paruveta Utsavam at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple, the utsava idols of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and His consorts will be paraded in the temple premises and later Asthanam will be held at Kalyana Mandapam.
