TTD Executive Officer,Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has directed officials to prepare an action plan for modernisation of the Artificial limbs Centre at BIRRD hospital to provide improvised sevices to patients.
Addressing a review meeting on development works at BIRRD hospital on Friday evening the TTD EO said the artificial limbs Centre which had successfully provided artificial parts to thousands of patients since its inception could help more and more people if modernised with equipment and systems.
He also directed TTD CMO to ensure supply of medicines on war footing for BIRRD hospital patients by making timely purchases after proper quality examinations etc.
He also advised officials to purchase the recent innovative Bionic Arm, also as and when needed.
He said from February 1, the maintenance of the hospital, its services and inventory of medicines and equipment would be brought under IT applications.
He also wanted a detailed policy document on BIRRD Trust be prepared to include all latest amendments in hospital management.
The TTD EO also asked officials to set up a Help Desk at BIRRD complex with Hospital staff to provide information on services to patients.
He also said the BIRRD doctors should also scale up their research work every year and also organise camps to serve needy patients across different parts of the country.
