Nellore 16 February 2021: The reintroduction of Kalyanamastu is aimed at lighting the lives of poor who cannot afford to perform marriages to their children said, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.
Speaking to media after launching Gudiko Gomata programme in AC Subba Reddy Stadium on Tuesday, he said the Kalyanamastu mass marriage programme will be resumed as part of the propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma under the directives of Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
He said TTD has been organising various religious activities to spread awareness among the youth on sanatana Hindu dharma and traditions.
He said the prestigious Gudiko Gomata is also a brian child of CM of AP and people participated in huge number at festivals organised by TTD in Karthika Masam when the programme commenced at Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool and Narasaraopeta and now at Nellore. TTD Board Member Smt Vemireddi Prasanthi Reddy along with her spouse and MP Sri Vemireddi Prabhakar Reddy has donated five cows and calves to five temples in Potti Sriramulu Nellore district over the hands of TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy couple.
He said soon TTD will construct 500 temples in SC, ST colonies of AP and TS as a part of TTD's mission of propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.
Local MLAs Sri K Sridhar Reddy, Sri K Govardhan Reddy and others were also present.
