Tirupati, 19 Feb. 21: The Radhasapthami festivities in the most ancient temple of Sri Govindaraja Swamy in Tirupati commenced with Chakrasnanam during the early hours on Friday.
The Sudarshana Chakrattalwar was rendered Chakrasnanam in Ekantam in a huge vessel (Gangalam) at the Kalyana Mandapam in the temple at 4:30am.
Later the Vahana Sevas commenced with Suryaprabha at 5:30am followed by Hamsa Vahana, Hanumantha Vahana, Pedda Sesha, Mutyapu Pandiri, Saravabhoopala and Garuda Vahanam. The devotees were enthalled at the sight of Saptha Vahana Seva of the deity.
Special Grade DyEO Sri Rajendrudu and other temple staff were also present.
