Hyderabad, March 12: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday advised the young IAS officer trainees to connect more with the people.
“It is important to travel and
approach people and know about the issues that concern them. We must be
accessible to the common people,” she said.
The Governor was interacting with the
IAS officer trainees of the 2019 batch, who were allotted to the Telangana
State, at the Raj Bhavan, here.
She exhorted them to be honest,
committed, dedicated, and straight forward in the discharge of their duties.
“There will be challenges of all sorts, but be committed and dedicated to the
cause of the public good,” she added.
Describing the adoration for the IAS
officers, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that they would be worshipped by the
people for their good work.
“Be innovative, go out and make your
own mark, and make a difference in the lives of the people wherever you work,”
the Governor added.
She congratulated the IAS officer
trainees on being allotted to the young State of Telangana, where she said they
would have lot of scope to be innovative and contribute for the development of
the new State.
MCRHRDI director general Mr Harpreet
Singh, special chief secretary to Government, accompanied the trainee officers.
The IAS officer trainees, who
interacted with the Governor, included Ankit, Chitra Mishra, Deepak Tewari,
Garima Agarwal, Hemant Keshav Patil, K Varun Reddy, Pratima Singh, and Rizwan
Basha Shaik.

Mohan elaborated on the functions of the Governor and the Raj Bhavan to the
officer trainees.
