Extended Research Needed in Ayurvedic Medicine- VC of NTR Health University










Extended Research for the benefit of humanity is need to be taken up in an effective manner in Ayurvedic Medicine, said Dr P Shyam Prasad, Vice-chancellor of NTR Health University on Tuesday.

 

Addressing a get-together session at the auditorium of Sri Venkateswara Ayurveda College he said the scope for research and development in Ayurvedic Medicine is immense and all students should be encouraged by teachers in Research along with the promotion of communication skills to interact with patients. "The NTR University will extend its full co-operation to take up Research'', he maintained.

 

Calling for utmost care and all out precautions on the anticipated dangers of the third wave of COVID-19, he urged Ayurvedic doctors also to research on vaccine and medicines to thwart its dangers. As an alumni of SV Medical College he recalled how he worked with blessings of Sri Venkateswara.

 

Dr Muralikrishna, Principal of SV Ayurvedic College said that since it's inception in 1982, the college had produced many giants working all over the world and that 210 bed hospital was also managed at Tirupati.

 

Earlier Dr Shyam Prasad went round the Ayurvedic hospital and the college, interacted with the students and faculty members and also enquired about the production of Ayurvedic medicines, distribution and also the Panchakarma system of medicine.

 

Vice principal Dr Sundaram, RMO Dr G Padmavati, PG Reader Dr Renu Dikshit and others were present.
