Pallavotasavam in Tirumala on 28th July

The annual Pallavotsavam will be observed in Tirumala on July 28.

 

This the festival is usually observed commemorating the Birth Anniversary of Maharaja of Mysore who was born on the Uttarabhadra star. 

 

After Sahasra Deepalankara Seva, Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi visits Karanataka Choultries and receives special Harati honours on behalf of Karnataka Government and Mysore Samsthan authorities.

 

This Utsavam is in vogue since three centuries. Earlier this Utsavam was also observed as Thototsavam.
