The month-long Yuddhakanda Parayanam recitation concluded on a grand religious note in Tirumala on Saturday.
At Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham, Purnahuti was performed with religious ecstasy marking the successful completion of the Yuddhakanda Parayanam.
As part of this celestial fete, Vastu Homam, Chatusasti Yogini Mandapam, Kshetrapalaka Mandapam, Navagraha Mandalam, Sri Rama Dasavarana Yantra Puja, Sodasa Ramalingato Bhadra Mandala Puja, Rama Chaturayana Kalasa Puja, Mantra Pushpam and Darbar Seva were performed.
The day commenced with series of rituals including Bhagavat Prarthana, Viswaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Agni Pranayanam, Mula Mantra Homam, Shloka Homam, Mandapa Devata Homam, Anga Homam, Poustika Homam, Shanti Homam, Jayati Homam, Kumbharadhana, Archana, Nivedana, Neerajanam were performed. Later followed Visesha Abhishekam with 16 Kalasas to Anjanesya Swamy.
During these 30 days, the Ritwiks recited Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana Anjaneya Swamy Mantram for Three million times.
Earlier at Vasanta Mandapam, on the last day of Yuddhakanda, 288 Shlokas apart from 100 Shlokas from Yogavasisthyam were recited and the entire event took part under the supervision of Dharmagiri Veda Peetham Principal Sri KSS Avadhani.
The Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy who took part in the Purnahuti fete said TTD has been doing a series of spiritual events since last April to ward off the ill effects of Corona Covid 19 which has crippled the lives of human beings across the world. The month-long Yuddhakanda Parayana is also one such spiritual programme taken up seeing divine intervention to save the world from the pandemic. He said from July 10 to 16 Shrota Yagam will be performed, while from July 24 onwards some episodes from Srimad Ramayana will be recited for a month for the well being of the entire humanity at Vasanta Mandapam.
Earlier, all the 32 Ritwiks who have performed the religious event with utmost devotion for a month, were felicitated by Tirupati legislator Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy.
CEO SVBC Sri Suresh Kumar, Deputy EO Sri Vijayasaradhi, Additional Health Officer Dr Sunil Kumar and others were also present.
