204th Tarigonda Vengamamba Vardharthi Utsavam




Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba poems heralded the glory of lord venkateswara in simple language for common man to understand, said eminent pundit Acharya KG Krishnamurthy on Sunday morning.

 

He was participating as chief guest in the two-day literary conference organized as part of 204th Tarigonda Vengamamba vardanti utsavam at the Annamacharya Kala Mandir.

 

TTD Tarigonda Vengamamba project is organizing the utsavam in total adherence of covid guidelines to highlight the saint poet’s contributions as a poet, disciple, yogini, and social reformer in spreading glory of Lord Venkateswara in her stellar Venkatachala Mahatya.

 

Prominent other speakers were Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma, OSD of SV higher Vedic studies Institute, Sri N Chamundeswar Rao of Srikalahasti, Dr Sangetam Keshavulu of Chandragiri.

 

Earlier TTD officials paid floral tributes and garlanded the portraits of Tarigonda Vengamamba and Sri Venkateswara and thereafter felicitated pundits who participated in the literary conference with shawls and Srivari Prasadam. 

 

As part of festivities cultural programs were conducted in the evening including Music concert by Annamacharya project artists Sri B Raghunath and Smt Vishalakshi.

 

TTD DyEO Sri Vijayasaradhi, Tarigonda Vengamamba project Coordinator Dr C Lata, superintendent Smt G Nagamani, senior assistant Sri B Narasimhulu were present.
