The Additional EO of TTD Sri AV Dharma Reddy instructed the IT officials to ensure quick refunding of Caution Deposits directly to the Bank Accounts of devotees as soon as they vacate rooms.
A review meeting on IT department activities was held at Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala on Thursday evening. Speaking on the occasion the Additional EO said that the caution deposits are being refunded to the respective bank accounts of devotees within 12 hours of their vacation. But due to the process involved in depositing the amount from bank to vendor and from there to devotee account, it is taking three to four days.
He directed the concerned officials to negotiate with the Banks to speed up the refund process. The Additional EO also said to set up an exclusive phone number for the sake of devotees, if they don't get a refund even after four days. He told the officials to bring the exclusive number 9966812345 for Complaint Tracking System to resolve accommodation to the utility of devotees. Security Audit of the software application should be carried out regularly for offering better pilgrim services, he added.
The Additional EO also directed the IT officials to design an exclusive Software application to provide an aesthetic feel of a virtual tour of Tirumala Pilgrimage with all the necessary information. He also said the IT department staff should be given training with experts from renowned IT companies and to select suitable candidates among the employees who are qualified in IT to strengthen the Data Centre of TTD. The Additional EO directed the IT officials to give an opportunity to the IT students in Engineering Colleges as Interns in TTD.
Later he also reviewed the Donor Cell application and directed the officials to make the software app more user-friendly.
GM IT Sri Sesha Reddy, CIO Sri Sandeep Reddy, DyEOs Sri Ramesh Babu, Sri Lokanatham, Sri Bhaskar, Smt Padmavathi were also present.
