Garuda Panchami at Tirumala

On the occasion of the auspicious festival of Garuda Panchami on Friday night ,Sri Malayappa Swamy  rode on his favorite vahana of Garuda,on the mada streets and blessed the devotees.

According to puranic legends Garuda panchami is observed on the fifth day of Shukla paksham  every  year in recognition of Significance of Garuda as a favorite Srivari disciple and chariot .

Devotees particularly the newly wedded couple seek blessings on Garuda panchami day for a strong and intelligent children like Garuda.
