Kaisika Dwadasi Asthanam on 16th November

Kaisika Dwadasi Asthanam will take place in Tirumala on November 16.

 

As per Puranic evidences, Kaisika Dwadasi is also known as Prabhodotsavam or Uttana Dwadasi. Every year on the auspicious day of Ashada Shukla Ekadasi, Sri Maha Vishnu goes into celestial sleep Again He wakes up on the auspicious day of Kaisika Dwadasi.

 

On this day, the processional deity of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murthy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi will be taken on a procession along four Mada streets during the early hours and returns even before the sunrise.

 

Later Kaisika Dwadasi Asthanam with Purana parayanam will be performed inside the temple.
