TTD chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy said on Sunday that TTD would purchase only organic products from organic farmers for all of its needs of rice, pulses, and jaggery henceforth.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the two day Go Maha Sammelan organized at Mahati auditorium the chairman said TTD will unleash a few more programs in Telugu states for promotion of Go Samrakshana and provide financial support to Goshalas for maintenance of Desi cows etc.
He also sought the cooperation of Pontiffs and Peethadhipatis and Veda Pathashala operators for spreading the Gudiko Gomata campaign all over the country.
He also lauded the Pontiffs and Peethadhipatis for their participation and address to the sammelan.
He said the AP chief minister Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy, a farmers son had inspired the TTD to promote Go Samrakshana and also Go-based organic farming.
He said the TTD campaign was aimed at averting the disaster anticipated in the agricultural sector in the next 20 years due to pesticides and similar Go Sammelans will be held in districts also to spread awareness and prevent havoc on nature.
ACTION PLAN FOR GOSHALA DEVELOPMENT: TTD EO
Speaking on the occasion the TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said TTD has prepared an action plan to develop and coordinate with 600 Goshalas in Telugu states.
He said TTD is also committed to purchase organic products from farmers growing them in 3 lakh acres in the state and buy its annual requirement of 6000 tones of rice7 tons of pulses, 6000 tones of cow ghee for naivedyam needs of Srivari temple and other TTD temples.
Among others, he also highlighted the other development activities of TTD like 800 hectares of a swadeshi plantsman in TTD forests, agarbattis, dry flower technology, children’s hospital, Anjanadri as Anjaneya birthplace, and free bullocks to farmers with barren cows to farmers.
TIRUPATI MLA SRI KARUNAKAR REDDY
Tirupati legislator Sri Karunakar Reddy said a resolution be passed at sammelan and sent to the UNO that Go-based organic farming was the only solution to food scarcity in the world.
TTD chairman and EO also unveiled a CD on Gomata significance penned by film lyricist Jonnavittula Ramalingeswar Rao and others.
TTD board members Sri Ashok Kumar, Sri Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Sri Maruti Prasad, Sri Ramulu Sri Melind Nareswae, Sri Bora Saurab, Yuga Tulasi Foundation chairman Sri Shiv Kumar, TTD JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, and Sri Veerabrahmabm CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti were present.
