TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has emphasised the Nodal Goshala operators on Saturday on the need for a high voltage publicity campaign on Go Samrakshana, Goshala maintenance, Go-based farming, environment and public health upliftment through the use of Panchagavya products.
Addressing a virtual conference with selected nodal Goshala operators of all AP districts the TTD EO highlighted the need for special training to the Goshala operators and that the SVBC will conceive and telecast special programs to enlighten people on the issue.
Responding to the burning issues raised by the Goshala operators like hurdles in Go based farming, marketing etc. The EO highlighted the various initiatives of TTD in the realm of Gosamrakshana, Go-based farming etc.
He said as part of the campaign to promote dairy farming in the state, TTD has freely distributed 1300 milch bovines and bullocks to go farming farmers.
TTD has also signed an MoU with the state farmers body for buying organic products for the daily preparation of Srivari naivedyam and in the coming days TTD plans to buy organically grown rice, jaggery, groundnuts from farmers at remunerative prices.
The EO assured the Nodal goshala operators that TTD will discuss with the Endowment Commissioner on buying of Go-based products at all major temples in the state and also post it to government notice to the allocation of Go Sanchar land (grazing land) in every village.
Among others, TTD will decide on the appeal for provision of free fodder for Cows during drought season, assistance by Veterinary University and animal husbandry department to organic farmers etc.
He also highlighted the need to spread public awareness on the preparation of solid, liquid Panchagavya products, their impact on the environment and society.
He said in coordination with ISCON TTD will conduct a training program for Goshala operators by experts from well-known institutions in marketing and production of Pancha gavya products.
He said the selected Goshala operators should play a key role in conducting Yagam, Homas, funerals where use of cow dung balls and fire wood reduce environmental pollution and enhance public awareness on these issues.
TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, TTD Goshala Director Dr Harinath Reddy, ISCON Tirupati president Sri Revathi Ramana Das, natural farming expert Sri Vijayaram, Ayurveda doctor from Nellore Dr Shashidhar and Nodal Goshala operators of the state were present.
