The brave girl, Gurugu Hima Priya who saved her parents and 2 sisters during a terrorist attack on their army quarters in Jammu & Kashmir called on TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Wednesday morning at the latter's camp office in Tirumala.
The TTD Chairman lauded the brave girl who won the prestigious PM Bravery Award for her act of bravery. The parents of the girl Sri Satyanarayana, Smt Padmavati, and her sisters also met him.
The incident occurred in 2018 when Hima Priya hailing from Ponnam village in Srikakulam district was just eight years old and Prime Minister had announced the Bala Puraskar award in 2022. The award was presented virtually by PM Sri Narendra Modiji through the Srikakulam District Collector Office on January 24.
TTD Chairman who interacted with them expressed happiness and praised the brave act of Hima Priya. Her father Sri Satyanarayana is presently working as Army Havaldar at Pune.
