The Pontiff of Kukke Subramanya in Karnataka Sri Sri Sri Vidya Prasanna Thirtha Swami advocated on Monday that Harinama smarana is the only solution for all problems of humanity.
He was speaking on the occasion of the Aradhanotsavam of Sri Purandara Dasa organised by the TTD at the Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala.
Presenting Mangala Sasanam the pontiff said whenever Sri Purandara Dasa visited Tirumala he had presented sankeetana haram at feet of Sri Venkateshwara
Thereafter Sri Suvidhyendra Thirtha Swamiji of Sri Raghavendra Swami mutt at Bangalore, in his message said to procure God's blessings the approval of His devotees is a must and Sri Purandara Dasa belonged to that category of devotees.
The Pontiff said the celebrations of Jayanti and Vardhanti of such great and pious persons make Srivaru even happier.
He said the sankeetans of Sri Purandara Dasa extolled the sharanagati concept of devotion
TTD Dasa Sahitya project Special Officer Sri Anandathirthacharya said Sri Purandara Dasa had penned 4.75 lakh sankeetans which were resplendent with philosophical concepts alive even today.
Thereafter he felicitated the Pontiffs with shawls and Srivari Theertha Prasadams.
Earlier several Dasa sankeetans were rendered by bhajan mandali members from Karnataka, Telangana, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh during Nagara sankeetanam
