TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Thursday brushed away the allegations around Arjita Sevas price hike and said it was unfortunate that some vested interests are distorting the Board's debate on arjita Seva tickets to reduce VIP pressures and create more access to common devotees.
He said with a noble objective to keep board decisions transparent, the TTD has also given live telecast of board meetings like never before for the information of the general public. He said the issue was not discussed secretly between four walls and critics failed to note that he had declared at the beginning of debate on the issue that there was no question of hiking arjita Seva tickets issued to common devotees.
He had categorically clarified that it was not a fault of the board that our honest intentions and declarations were not visible to politically motivated vested interests who are trying to create unnecessary confusion among the devotees.
TTD Chairman said Sri Venkateswara will ensure such baseless campaign will always fail and attempts to drag God also into muddy politics will be squarely punished by the almighty. He categorically said he will never endorse any decision in the TTD board which affects the interests of common devotees and always welcomed good criticism which promotes their welfare.
He also urged people not to believe and fall prey to the political conspiracy by some vested interests behind the entire malicious propaganda. He requested the devotees to note that whatever he spoke at the TTD board meeting was edited and morphed technologically to suit their political campaign. He said TTD would soon take legal action on all social media that were engaged in such a distorting campaign against TTD.
In a statement released on Friday, putting forth a list of recent Dharmic initiatives taken up by TTD he said:
TTD Chairman said that the truth is that debate on hike on arjita seva was pending for a long time as the Seva tickets were limited in number but the requests of recommendation letters are more. The debate on whether to hike Arjita Seva tickets would help to reduce pressure of recommendations on TTD.
