519th Vardhanti Of Saint Poet Observed with Religious Fervour

The hill town of Tirumala reverberated to the melodious rendering of Annamacharya kritis on the occasion of the 519th vardhanthi of the Saint poet on Tuesday evening.

 

The artists of the Annamacharya Project presented the seven precious gems out of 32000 incredible Sankeertans penned by Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya during his 95-years life span.

 

During his Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion, the Pontiff of Ahobila mutt Sri the 46th Jeeyar Srivan Satakopa Sri Ranganatha Yateendra Mahadesikan Swamiji said Sri Annamacharya took the Deeksha of 32 Beejakshara Mantra from Ahobilam and penned 32000 Sankeertans. He lauded TTD for organising the Annamacharya Vardhanti in a big manner every year.

 

Later the successors of the Annamacharya dynasty were felicitated on the occasion.

 

JEO TTD Sri Veerabrahmam, Program Officer Sri Vijayasaradhi, Annamacharya Project Director Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma, DyEO FMS Sri Rama Rao, SV College of Music and Dance Principal Sri Sudhakar, Temple Peishkar Sri Srihari and other officials were also present.
