Srivari Temple at Tallapaka - TTD Chairman









TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy said on Friday visited the 108 feet statue of saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya in YSR Kadapa district.

 

The Chairman who inspected the massive statue along with officials of TTD said that the entire area will be developed with devotee friendly amenities as a tribute to patriarch of Telugu devotional Sangeet, Sri Annamacharya who penned over 32,000 sankeertans. He said the 108 feet statue was installed in 2008 during the regime of late AP CM Sri YS Rajasekhara Reddy when Sri B Karunakar Reddy was the TTD Board Chairman.

 

He said to revive past glory, TTD has plans to develop landscape and also organise devotional music fetes, cultural programs daily besides building Sri Venkateswara temple in the corridors.

 

Similarly, TTD is also keen to develop Sri Sowmyanatha Swamy temple at Nandalur after government approval for its merger with TTD.

 

He said the historical Annamaiah margam will be developed expeditiously as a third ghat road for the sake of both foot walkers and vehicular traffic after approvals from the forest department.
