The TTD Trust Board meeting was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Saturday under the Chairmanship of Sri YV Subba Reddy with Ex-officio members Dr KS Jawahar Reddy (EO), Sri AK Singhal (Principal Secretary Endowments), Sri Harijawaharlal (Commissioner Endowments), Dr C Bhaskar Reddy (TUDA Chairman) and other board members and TTD top brass authorities.
The board has taken some important decisions in the larger interests of pilgrims and also some employee-friendly decisions.
Besides, donations are also poured in for TTD to take up various development activities including spiritual and Medicare.
The TTD Board Chief informed the media about the highlights in the press meet. Some excerpts.
@ Rs.500 crores worth 10acres of land has been donated to TTD by the Maharashtra Government at Navi Mumbai towards the construction of Sri Venkateswara temple. The Chairman said, the construction of a temple in a spacious area has been awaited for the past eight years and the historical moment is going to become a reality soon.
@ Raymond company MD Sri Goutam Singhania has come forward to donate the construction cost of the temple (approximately Rs.60cr)
@ The services of Srivari Mettu footpath route will be resumed from May 5 onwards.
@ TTD Board has also given a nod to resume Divya Darshan (pedestrian darshan) soon after the peak summer season.
@ The board has approved to make applicable all the donation privileges ranging between Rs.1lakh and Rs.1crore even to kind donations on par with that of cash donors.
@ Approval of ₹100crore allocation to Tirupati Smart City Corporation towards second phase of works of Srinivasa Sethu, which is scheduled to complete by March 2023.
@ New E&F blocks to be built at Sri Padmavati medical college at a cost of ₹21.20 crore.
@ Towards the laying of RCC roads and Crash Barriers along the Ghat Roads, in first phase, TTD board has approved for Rs.20 crores and another Rs.15 crores during the second phase.
@ For renovation and repairs of staff quarters, the board has sanctioned Rs.19 crores
@ Approval given to call for tenders towards gold lacing of two new thrones at Srivari temple at cost of ₹3.61 crore.
@ 2.86 acres of land allocated for parking electric buses at Balaji Nagar area in Tirumala.
@ Approval for setting up bio-gas plant using wet garbage in Tirumala with Indian Oil corporation collaboration.
@ Appointment of Tangirala Venkata Krishna Purna Prasad as TTD Asthana Siddhanti for the year 2022-23.
@ Approval to accept a donation of ₹58 lakhs worth house at Pondicherry belonging to Smt R Karnavati of Chennai.
Board members, JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Narasimham Kishore and others were also present.
