The three-day Traimasika Metlotsavam commenced with religious ecstasy on Thursday in Tirupati with a grand Shobha Yatra by Dasa Sahitya Bhajana Mandalis from Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple to III NC Chowltries.
Speaking on the occasion, the Special Officer of Dasa Sahitya Project Sri Ananda Theerthacharyulu said, around 3000 Bhajan troupes from AP, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu have participated in the fete. On August 27 there will be Anugraha Bhashanams by eminent people at Alipiri followed by Metla Puja at 4:30am. Later the troupes will reach Tirumala trekking the footpath singing the Dasa Padalu.
On the first day, religious discourses, community singing of Dasa Padas were held in III NC Chowltries from morning to evening.
Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple DyEO Smt Shanti and others also participated in the Shobha Yatra.
