Sri Varaha Swamy Vari Jayanthi on 30th August in Tirumala

TTD is organizing the Sri Varaha swamy Jayanti at Tirumala on August 30.

 

As part of the festivities in the morning Kalash sthapana, Kalash puja, Punya havachanam will be performed ahead of Panchamruta Abhisekamto the Mula idol of Sri Varaha Swamy.

 

TTD grandly conducted the Sri Varahaswami Jayanti celebrations at Tirumala annually as per local puranam the first puja is always rendered to Sri Varahaswami ahead of Sri Venkateswara. It is also a common practice to seek darshan and blessings of Sri Varaha Swamy ahead of Sri Venkateswara.

 

Puranic legends also speak of Sri Vishnu incarnation as Sri Varaha Swamy to kill evil Hiranyaksha and save Sri Bhudevi.
