Governor calls for increased awareness on organ donation

Hyderabad, Oct 15: Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has emphasised on the need for increased awareness on organ donation.

While making a fervent appeal to the people to pledge and register for the organ donation, she said that the gesture would give a new lease of life to others.

The Governor was speaking at the Raj Bhavan Samskriti Hall, where she watched the special short screening of the Aye Zindagi movie that was based on organ donation.

“As a doctor, I know the importance of organ donation to bring light and life back in many lives through the organ donation. There must be greater awareness about this noble cause,” she added.

The Governor said that she was moved by the theme of the Aye Zindagi movie that poignantly portrayed the real life story and importance of the organ donation.

She appreciated and honoured the film makers and hoped that the movie would inspire others to come up with such noble themes to highlight the cause of organ donation.

Raj Bhavan senior officials and the members of the Raj Bhavan pariwar joined the Governor in watching the short screening of the Aye Zindagi movie.
