Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday exhorted the youngsters not to get depressed with failures.
“Failures
are bound to happen in life. Enjoy the failures. Take the challenges head on
and continue to strive for success,” she said.
The
Governor, as the chief guest, was speaking at a workshop on “Eight Elements of
Wellness,” organised by the Spandana Eda International Foundation at the
Brahmkumaris Shanti Sarovar Seminar, Gachibowli, here.
She
stated that life is precious and it should be protected at all costs. Failure
is not permanent. It should only motivate us to fight back and achieve success.
“It
pains me to see many young children taking out their lives for petty reasons.
No reason is big enough to commit the suicide. Life is a great gift. We should
make the life meaningful. The parents, friends, and the society must build a
strong support system to the vulnerable,” she said.
The
Governor appealed to the parents and teachers to spend time with the children
and understand and empathise with them in their hour of need.
“It
is the duty of the parents and teachers to remain strong pillars of support and
help the vulnerable children to come out of the setbacks. Constant and healthy
communication is vital,” she said.
Dr.
Tamilisai Soundararajan asked the students to focus on their studies, careers
and take up what interests them the most and to love the work what they do.
The
workshop was aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of precious life
and to ensure suicide-free India.
