Local TTD Temples Closed at 8AM for the Solar Eclipse

Tirupati,25 October 2022: All the TTD local temples were closed at 8 am in view of solar eclipse on Tuesday.

They included Sri Padmavati temple in Tiruchanoor, Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple, Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple, Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram, Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple, in Appalayagunta.

The solar eclipse occurred at 4pm and it is a practice to shut down the temple six hours ahead of the eclipse occurrence.

After performing temple shuddi and other purificatory rituals temples will be reopened for darshan for devotees after 7pm.
