On the evening of the seventh day of the Srivari Brahmotsavam at Tirumala the presiding deity of Malayappa as Nartana Krishna rides atop a Chandra Prabha Vahanam.
On the pleasant evening of the "Moon Day", Monday, the chief deity of the day as per Sanatana Dharma, the Chandra, or the moon swayed all along the four mada streets carrying Sri Nartana Krishna. The devotees were mused seeing the dancing Sri Krishna on the cool and pleasant Chandraprabha Vahanam.
As per the scripts in the “Purushottam Praptiyagam” Chandra is described as Lord Vishnu who as an invisible architect evolved solutions for all ills of the society.
According to the holy Hindu scripts, Chandra or the Moon stands for promoting medicinal values among the living beings
The senior and junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, some board members, JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore and others were also present.
