The two-day National Seminar on Agamas concluded in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University in Tirupati on Friday evening.
The TTD-run varsity has organised the Sadas wherein Agama scholars from across the nation participated with enthusiasm.
For the valedictory ceremony, one of the chief priests of Tirumala Temple Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu graced and spoke on the importance of Balalayam in Agamas. He appreciated the efforts of SVVU for organising the two day national seminar on important topics like Agamas, Balalayam, other rituals etc.
Vice-chancellor Sri Rani Sadasiva Murthy said the outcome of the sadas will be brought out in the form of a book for the sake of future purpose.
Later both the VC and chief priest inaugurated a library dedicated in memory of Vedic scholar Sri Agnihotram Srinivasacharulu.
Renowned Vaikhanasa Agama Scholar Sri Varadan, Panchratra Scholar Sri T Srinivasan, Saivagama Scholar Sri Ganapati Sharma were awarded "Agama Kalpadruma" titles on the occasion.
Convenor Sri Brahmacharyulu and other scholars, students were present.
