With a noble aim to sustain traditional art forms for future generations, TTD is giving a boost to such arts in a big way by organizing expos regularly, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
Speaking during the inaugural session of the three-day expo at SV Sculpture Institute of TTD on Monday, the EO said the three-day expo is mulled at exploring new opportunities and encourages students who have opted for traditional art courses.
Many students from this great Institute of TTD are now settled as renowned sculptors, lecturers, and artists across the world. He also said TTD deposits Rs. One lakh for each student joining the Kalamkari painting course.
He appreciated the faculty of the Fine Arts Institution for designing students who are the future builders of the nation.
The EO and JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi inspected the stalls including wood, cement, metal and kalamkari works on display. Till February 15 the stalls will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm.
Devasthanams Education Officer Sri Bhaskar Reddy, Principal of SVITSA Sri Venkat Reddy, other faculty, and students were also present.
