To encourage the different artifacts created by the students of TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Institution of Traditional Sculpture and Architecture(SVITSA) Sales counters will be opened in the institution premises soon said, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.
The TTD Board Chief visited the three-day stall opened in the college premises on the last day on Wednesday. He interestingly took at each artform that was created by the students including stone, metal, wood sculptures, kalamkari paintings etc.
He said to encourage the traditional artforms TTD is taking many initiatives and as a part of it depositing Rs.one lakh on each student on the day of joining and will give them the amount along with interest after the completion of their course", he said.
The Chairman also said same will be introduced soon even for the students pursuing 2-year Kalamkari course to encourage them to expertise themselves in the field in future, he maintained.
He appreciated the efforts of TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi in bringing out the talents and skills among the students by instilling confidence organizing programmes of this nature at regular intervals from the past two years.
TTD Board Member Smt Malleswari, Devasthanams Education Officer Sri Bhaskar Reddy, SVITSA Principal Sri Vekat Reddy, faculty, students were also present.
