7th Convocation of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University on 28th April

 Acharya Rani Sadasiva Murthy, the vice chancellor of Sri Venkateswara Vedic  University announced on Wednesday that the 7th  convocation of the university will be held at 11 am on April 28th at the Mahati auditorium in Tirupati.


During a press conference in the varsity he said 550 students from certificate courses to PhD will be given certificates besides Maha Mahopadhyaya and Vachaspati titles to two eminent scholars in each on the occasion.


The vice chancellor said the university was established in 2006 for protecting and propagating vedas had achieved stellar progress under the leadership of TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


He said honourable Governor of AP Sri Abdul Nazeer besides will participate.


TOP HONOUR


He said Brahmarshi Sri V Subramanya Shastri, Ghanapati of Hyderabad and Brahmarshi Sri Ramachandra Mani Dravida Shastri of Chennai will be presented  Maha Mahopadhyaya  titles.


Similarly Brahmarshi Kapilavai Ram Somayaji Shastri of Annavaram and Brahmarshi C Vamsi Krishna Ghanapati of Mysore will be presented the Vachaspati titles on the occasion.


OUR PROGRESS


The vice chancellor also highlighted the contributions made in the realm of teaching,facilitation and ambience at the university and that from 2023-24 the national education policy will be implemented in the university after deliberating over last few months.


Among others including MA courses in grammar and Law translation courses from Sanskrit to English,super sensory knowledge purses Diploma courses in Yoga, occult courses, organising Navagraha Shila gardens ,Yajna Oushadi gardens  etc as part of environmental courses.


PRESERVATION OF PALM LEAF DOCUMENTS


The vice chancellor said  the TTD manuscripts projects was engaged in digitisation and preservation of palm leaf documents collected at TTD and state archeology  department. He also said now the TTD has technology for preservation of such documents for the next 500 years.


The university will soon commence a course for study and translation of these palm leaf documents, he added.


University Registrar Acharya Radheshyam ,TTD PRO Dr T Ravi,University PRO Acharya Brahmacharya and others were present.
