The state festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam took place in the spacious Kalyana Vedika at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district on a pleasant evening on Wednesday with devotional fervour hitting the sky.
Every inch of gallery was occupied with devotees. The grandeur of the Kalyanam enhanced under the bright sheath of Full Moon rays.
SEQUENCE OF RITUALS
The archakas performed the divine wedding of Sri Rama and Sita Devi, observing a series of rituals as per the customs of Hindu wedding.
Commencing with Bhagavad Vijnapana, Sabha Anjuna followed by Sankalpam where in Gotra Namas were recited and then Viswaksena Aradhana, Bhagavad Vasudeva Punyaham, Aradhana, Raksha Bandhanam, Yajnopaveetha Dharana, Varapreshanam, Pada Prakshalanam were rendered.
After that Madhuparka Samarpana, Maha Sankaplam, Kanya Danam, Mangalya Puja, Mangalasutra Dharana, Akshatarohanam, Moolikaropanam, Sripada Nivedana, Harati and finally Swasti Vachanam with which the mega religious fete concluded.
The silk vastrams, mutyala talambralu presented by the state government were also offered to the deities on the auspicious occasion.
Finally Ashirvachanam was offered to the Honourable Minister of Energy, Forest, Environment, Science and Technology, Mines and Geology Sri Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy by the archakas.

DISTRIBUTION OF TALAMBRALU AND ANNAPRASADAM
This year, TTD presented a bag coprising of Talambralu and Mutyam packet, two mini laddus, one Annaprasadam pacaket and a small water bottle to every devotee entering into the galleries present on North and South sides.
About 2500 Srivari Sevakulu were deployed for offering services to the multitude of devotees coming for Vontimitta Brahmotsavams out of which 1700 are exclusively for Galleries.
