Annamaiah Songs Are The Essence of Vedas in Local Slang

With a noble aim to propagate the great values embedded in Vedas to reach every common man, Saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya penned 32000 Sankeertans, said Dr Malayavasini of Andhra University.

Speaking on the last day of literary session as part of 

615th Jayanti celebrations of Annamacharya at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati, she said Annamacharya preached Nava Vidha Bhakti Margams in his sankeertans and made the people to choose righteous path in their lives.

Rajamundry's Andhra Yuvati Sanskrit College Principal Dr Peram Naidu, Hyderabad-based Jeeyar Educational Trust Chairman Sri Ranga Ramanujacharya also spoke on the occasion. Earlier Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Asthanam was also performed.

In the evening the musical feat by Sri Saraswati Prasad and Sri Rajesh Kumar allure the music lovers followed by Harikatha Ganam by Smt Jandhyala Krishna Kumari and team.

Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma and others were present.
