Amidst the rhythmic vedic chants, soulful Nadaswaram, melodious rendition of Annamacharya Sankeertans, the divine wedding ceremony of Sri Padmavathi Pariyanotsavam was observed with utmost religious fervour in Tirumala on Sunday.
Earlier the processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi entered the finely decked Parinayotsava Mandapam on Aswa Vahanam and Tiruchis separately.
After observing Edurkolu, Varana Mayiram, Poobantata and other Hindu marriage traditions, the deities were seated on the tastefully decorated swing in Parinayotsava Mandapam located in Narayanagiri Gardens.
The entire premises echoed to the divine chants of Chaturveda Parayanam.
After Mantra Pushpam Sourastra, Desika, Malhari, Yamuna Kalyani, Kalyani, Ananda Bhairavi, Neelambari Ragaas were rendered on Nada Swaram followed by Tala Vaidya, Dhamarukam, Tiruchi Vaidya and concluded with the Sarva Vaidyam.
The Harikatha Parayanam on Padmavathi Srinivasa Parinayam by renowned Harikatha Bhagavatar Sri Venkateswarulu impressed the devotees.
TTD has cancelled Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva owing to the celestial fete on Sunday.
Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, SE 2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sridevi, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, VGO Sri Bali Reddy and other officials, huge number of devotees were present.
