As part of the Maha Samprokshana rituals for Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Seetampeta of Manyam district, Panchagavyadhivasam was observed by the Ritwiks on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Upadrasta of the event Sri Mohana Rangacharyulu said, usually the sculptors will carve the deities from the stone giving it a shape. After the deity is being prepared, to provide a relief to the deity, "Bimbasuddhi" will be carried out and as part of it Panchagavyadhivasam with the products of desi cow which includes ghee, milk, curd, dung and urine was carried out as per Agama recited the relevant Mantras. Later Panchagavya Prasana, Vastu Homam, Akalmasha Prayaschitta Homa, Rakshabandhanam were performed. In the evening Agni Pratistha, Kumbha Sthapana, Kumbharadhana and Visesha Homams will be observed", he added.
Kankanabhattar Sri Seshacharyulu, Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Sri Venkataiah, Sri Siva Prasad, EE Sri Sudhakar, AEO Sri Ramesh and other officials were present.
