The annual Brahmotsavam commenced on a religious note in the ancient temple of Sri Soumyanatha Swami at Nalandur in Annamaiah district on Wednesday morning between 9am and 10am with Dwajarohanam in the auspicious Simha lagnam.
Speaking on the occasion the TTD JEO (H&E) Smt Sada Bhargavi said TTD had made elaborate arrangements for the nine-day festival by developing all amenities at the temple at a cost of ₹50 lakhs and soon more development activities will be taken after procuring permission from the ASI.
DyEO Sri Natesh Babu, Superintendent Sri Venkatesaiah and Temple Inspector Sri Dilip were present.

During the Arjita Kalyanotsavam on July 4, interested devotee couple could participate with a ticket of ₹500 and beget Prasadam of one uttarium, one blouse and Anna Prasadam etc.TTD is also organising a grand Pushpayagam fete on the evening of July 7.
As part of the celebrations the artists of HDPP, Annamacharya Project will present daily devotional cultural programmes.
