Maha Samprokshanam Held with Religious Fervour
















The darshan of Lord Venkateswara (Balaji) opened up for devotees in Jammu after a grand Maha Samprokshanam held on Thursday.


TTD has constructed a temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara in a sprawling 62acres land donated by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in Majin village on the banks of River Suryaputri at Rs.30cr. The Maha Samprokshanam event took place in the auspicious Mithuna lagnam between 7.30am and 8.15am. 


Later Kalavahanam was also performed invoking the power in the idols of the deities including Mula Virat, Padmavathi Devi, Goda Devi, Garudalwar, Jaya-Vijaya and Akshatarohanam and Brahmaghosha were performed concluding with Acharya Bahumanan.


DARSHAN COMMENCES


The devotees were allowed for darshan of Lord Venkateswara from 10am onwards. A large number of devotees from Jammu and surrounding places thronged to have darshan of Lord Balaji.


Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Sri Manoj Sinha, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, Union Ministers Sri Kishen Reddy, Sri Jitender Singh, MPs Sri Prabhakar Reddy, Sri Jugal Kishore Sharma, Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Sri Arun Kumar Mehata, Mayor Sri Rajender Sharma, DDC Chairman Sri Bharat Bhushan, Divisional Commissioner Sri Ramesh Kumar were present.


Among other dignitaries, TTD Board members Sri Krishna Rao, Sri Milind Kesav Narvekar, New Delhi Local Advisory Committee Chairperson Smt Vemireddi Prasanthi, Chennai Local Advisory Committee Chairman Sri Sekhar Reddy also participated while among TTD officials, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, SEs Sri Satyanarayana, Sri Venkateswarulu, EE Sri Sudhakar, DyEOs Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Sri Siva Prasad, VGOs Sri Manohar, Sri Giridhar Rao, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, PRO Dr T Ravi, DyEEs Sri Chengalrayalu, Sri Raghu Verma, AEO Sri Krishna Rao and others were present.
