The celestial Srinivasa Kalyanam was held with utmost religious fervour at Sri Venkateswara temple premises in Jammu on Thursday evening.
The processional deities of Sri Bhu sameta Sri Srinivasa were seated on the finely decked platform.
The Archakas performed the divine wedding as per Hindu tradition chanting Vedic Mantras. The series of events included Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Kankana Dharana, Agni Pratistapana, Sankalpam, Mangalasutra Dharana, Nakshatra Harati and concluded with Mangala Harati.
The devotees were spellbound by the divine power and witnessed the entire event with spiritual ecstasy.
DyEOs Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Sri Siva Prasad, EE Sri Sudhakar, DyEEs Sri Raghavaiah, Sri Chengalrayalu, AEO Sfi Krishna Rao, Superintendent Sri Subrahmanyam, temple inspector Sri Saikrishna and others were present.
