Tirupati,13 July 2023: The Honourable Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Sri Nitin Gadkari hailed TTD-run Sri Padmavati Children’s Heart Centre Hospital for its international standards and complimented free surgeries performed on poor children.
Speaking to the media after visiting the hospital on Thursday the union minister said in the country the infrastructure for heart, lung transplants etc.are available only in major cities like Chennai, Hyderabad etc. The cost of these surgeries are not at the reach of the needy poor.
He said there is a shortage of trained doctors for conducting heart transplants etc. in the country.
He said he was impressed and complimented the TTD management and the team of Doctors for conducting over 1600 free heart operations, surgeries transplantations etc.and described it as the greatest service to Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
Earlier the union minister went around the hospital and visited ICU, OP wings, Operating Theatres and general wards and complimented the ambience, facilities and infrastructure for the poor patients.
TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, Hospital Director Dr Srinath Reddy, EE Sri Krishna Reddy, RMO Dr Bharat, AVSO Sri Surendra and others were present.
