TTD is contemplating to bring CD Refund Tracker soon, said EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
Before taking calls from the pilgrims during the Dial your EO Programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO appraised them on the CD Refund system. Briefing the system via the live phone-in programme, he said the CD refund issues were reviewed and reiterated that there is no fault or delay on the part of TTD. He asked the pilgrims to follow certain procedures. He said, refunds were already issued, but the pilgrims were seeing in a wrong bank account instead of the bank account/card statement through which they had made payment. The pilgrims are requested to wait for a minimum of3-5 working days as intimated in the SMS sent from TTD. In a very few cases where the room is not vacated as per TTD policy (Verification code not submitted orphoto not matching), the refund shall not be initiated. The EO said a short tracker for refund in TTD website shall also be enabled keeping an update of the status of Refund for the information of the devotees.
Among other development programmes or upcoming events, the EO said, the Swami Pushkarani near Srivari temple was closed on August 1 for cleaning and civil works, before annual Brahmotsavams till month end. TTD has organised bathing showers on banks of the Pushkarani for the benefit of devotees.
The annual Pavitrotsavams will be held at Srivari temple from August 27-29.
TTD has donated a pink bus to district authorities to undertake cancer screening for rural women and is also planning to provide another pink bus to the similar screening centres at Gudur, Chandragiri and Srikalahasti.
TTD is gearing to perform liver transplant operations at SVIMS and also launch a HPB courses in Surgical Gastroenterology department.
In the Parayana Yagna at Nada Neerajanam, the Sabha Parvam concluded on July 23 and Aranya Parva Parayanams commenced from July 24.
In yet another pilgrim initiative, Pay link SMS to devotees commenced from July 19 onwards on experimental basis in CRO. The devotees who bagged Arjita Seva tickets in the lucky dip selections, now need not have to go to the counters to pay and procure tickets but instead pay online(UPA, credit and debit cards) and take prints of tickets directly.
"Soon we are planning to introduce the same system for Arjitha Sevas and VIP Break under Discretionary Quota also", he maintained.
After successfully observing Shuddha Tirumala- Sundara Tirumala program with the entire workforce of TTD on May 13 involving district administration also to clean up both the Ghat Roads and both the footpath routes, TTD with the voluntary participation of its students, faculty and others from its Education Department is going to observe Shuddha Tirumala-Sundara Tirumala on August 12.
TTD will be organising Varalakshmi Vratam at Tiruchanoor temple on August 25 followed by Swarna Ratham in the evening.
MEDIA BRIEFING: Later briefing the media, the EO said, the on-line system in Srivari Seva Voluntary Services was brought out to enhance transparency giving opportunities to the devotees to render services as volunteers from other states also.
The EO giving the highlights of the month of July said, a total of 23.23lakh devotees had darshan while 56.68 lakh Annaprasadam servings were recorded. The Srivari Hundi collections stood at Rs.129.08cr while 1.10crore laddus were sold. About 9.74lakh devotees offered tonsuring.
JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore, CEO Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao and other department heads were also present.
