TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Friday appealed to Vinayaka Nimarjanam Committee members and officials to take suitable action to ensure that the Nimarjanam fete is not held on the prestigious Garuda Seva day on September 22.
Addressing a review meeting with the Vinayaka Nimarjanam Committee, Municipal Corporation, TTD and other city officials at the Tirupati Municipal Corporation premises, the chairman said every effort should be made to maintain the spiritual atmosphere in Tirupati city during the Vinayaka Festival.
He appealed to city committee heads that TTD will make all arrangements as in last year to ensure that the Nimarjanam fete is observed in highly religious fervour.
TTD will distribute Goddess Padmavati Kankanams and kumkumam to all devotees at the Vinayaka sagar and also arrange other Dharmic and cultural programs by the HDPP and other projects.
On September 22, the focus of all TTD and district administration including police, TUDA, Revenue and SPDCL will be on the Brahmotsava Garuda Seva fete.
TMC mayor Dr Shirisha, Commissioner Smt Haritha, Deputy Mayor Sri Mudra Narayana, RDO Sri Kanaka Narasa Reddy, TTD SE Sri Satyanarayana, Additional SP Sri Kulasekara, Nimarjanam committee members Sri Samanchi Srinivas, Sri RC Munikrishna, Sri Gopal Reddy, Sri Gopinath and other were present.
