Malayappa Dons Rma-Krishna-Govinda Alankaram

On the seventh day of ongoing annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala on the bright sunny morning on Sunday, Sri Malayappa Swamy blessed the devotees on Surya Prabha vahanam, depicting three incarnations, Rama Krishna Govinda Alankaram.

Legend says that Sun God, the key architect of life, is dragged by a chariot of seven horses with Anura as the charioteer. Sun God is symbolically represented for the blessing of good health.  It is the common belief that the Darshan of  Sri Venkateswara on Surya Prabha vahanam would provide a long life, good health and prosperity and hence He is worshipped as Suryanarayana.

The Tirumala deity rode atop a vehicle adorned by Surya, the Sun God, representing His three incarnations of Treta-Dwapara-Kali yugas in His unique Rama Krishna Govinda Alankaram.

Devotees were mesmerized to see the divine charm of Lord in a different Alankaram wearing the Kodanda, Flute, Gadha, Conch and Disc as Ram Krishna Govinda gliding atop Surya Prabha vahanam paraded along four mada streets with majesty.

The TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and others were present.
