Speaking on the occasion the Senior Pontiff of Tirumala said the book throws light on the history of the great Sri Vaishnavite Saint Anantalwar who lived on Tirumala hills during the period 1053 - 1138.
He said Anantalwan pioneered Pushpa Kainkaryam to the Tirumala shrine by developing a flower garden and offered garlands to the temple everyday. ''And today this book is released on the auspicious day Bagh Savari which is observed in Anantalwar Gardens'', he observed.
The seer called on to the devout to read the book to understand the power of devotion towards a Guru.
The book was originally written in Telugu by Mr. P. V. Rami Reddy, a devotee of Hyderabad, and translated by Ms. Raji Ragunathan in Tamil.
The Hindu Business Line Editor Raghuvir Srinivasan, Vice President (Sales & Distribution) Sridhar Aranala, Special Publications in-charge R. Srinivasan and Cluster head (AP, TS, Odisha) S.D.T. Rao were present.
